Hear ye, hear ye, Haitian music is pumping all over the place, and Haitian artists…in and out of Haiti…are playing their part.
Haiti’s raptress Princess Eud landed in Montreal earlier this week. She is going to be spitting her rhymes and shaking her long dreads at Pop Montreal, one of Canada’s biggest music festivals. The festival started on the 16th, and will end on the 21st, and Princess Eud will be one of 400 acts performing over its course.

Singer Wanito, for his part, will be performing next month at the African Entertainment Awards in New York. The African Entertainment Awards are one of the handful of events taking place outside of Africa that honor talent from Nigeria, Ghana and the rest of Africa.
This past week, Haiti pop star Belo took the stage in Sao Paulo Brazil. I think that’s so cool. I’m always seeing these articles about Haitian migrants in Brazil, and so hopefully, Belo’s presence will remind them of home…and hopefully Brazilians will be served with a taste of Haiti’s musical side.
The group T-Vice will be at Colombia Festiva (better known as the Green Moon Festival) taking place this month from Sept 16th to the 19th in Colombia. The group recently dropped an EP on iTunes.
So Atis Belo, Vice2k, Princess Eud come forward and take a bow.
A kreyolicious applause for these performers. Hooray!
