Hello, followers and readers. Guess what? Okay, so I’ve already revealed the big surprise in the headline. I’ve published a book on Amazon, and it’s entitled Haiti History 101: The Definitive Guide to Haitian History. Being an over-thinker, I thought of so many different titles, with so many different rationales…But, oh well. The book is published!
I am weary of my perfectionism tendencies, and I suppressed them long enough to create this book (hey, I am trying to change). Some of the articles in this book, previously appeared on the website. I’ve actually rewritten and updated some of them. The majority of the book’s content is new material, so I hope that you guys will get the book, get copies for friends, and give some as gifts to those who’d like to be more knowledgeable about Haiti’s history—if you’re so inclined.
Here is a sample of what you’ll find in The Haitian-American’s Guide to Haitian History:
The story of the aviators who came from Port-au-Prince, landed in Alabama’s Tuskegee Institute and became Tuskegee Airmen
The little-known history tidbit about a group of Jewish families who were granted Haitian nationals documents to leave war-torn Germany
Ooh, and there’s more…
A stubborn president’s fall and how it inspired a Haitian musical classic…
Haiti’s historical women, and yes, there were more than five or six…
You can read all of this and more in Haiti History 101: The Definitive Guide to Haitian History.
This is the first of many little surprises, but rest assured that it won’t be the last.
I’m extremely proud of the fact that this book is seeing the light of day. I truly hope you make it part of your library. If this will be your first Haiti-related book purchase, I certainly hope it won’t be your last.
Get it and give to your friends as gifts!
Please be sure to leave a review to help others discover the book. Mèsi!
Your favorite chick ever,
